It's liquid at Armani. Silky, plastic-y fabrics make for new (never before seen) silhouettes. Strong and dominant cuts. Electric trance colors. 

 

 

 

Menswear Collections S/S 2011

Oh, by the way. To all my dearest followers, most of them female. I will not review the Spring-Summer 2011 Menswear collections. I much rather review womenswear collections, since this is my main area of expertise.

As an exception, I enjoy seeing the new trends in menswear. So, I will post my favorite looks & trends on this post:

80's Revivalism at the House of Versace (left & right), Emporio Armani (center) was also feeling 80's flashback:

Giorgio Armani Designs for Cannes Film Festival (Design)

Kristen Scott Thomas will be due to wear this stunning garment by Giorgio Armani Privé, at Cannes Film Festival Dinner Opening.


Cate Blanchett will also be due to wear Giorgio Armani Privé for the premiere of "Robin Hood" at Cannes Film Festival.


Giovanna Mezzogiorno will be due to wear Giorgio Armani the Vionnet Dress for the opening ceremony at the Cannes Film Festival

 Eighties Revivalism? Yes!!! Armani plays with a warm color palette, reds and oranges being the focal point in the collection. Gorgeous masculine tailoring with a strict Eighties silhouette, although we do see soft draped fabrics, FUR, and velvets which balance the collection beautifully. Asymmetrical shoulders, and classic evening-wear. And to end the show, we get twins in black asymmetrical dresses incorporating concentric circles!!!
