Backstage at ICONs Jose Maria 2010

Senior year has officially begun, time to start brainstorming and applying myself in order to graduate. Finally, years of core academics can be removed minimally of course to make way for my future goals. I am very interested in the Academy of Art University visit their blog: Fashion School Daily.

So, what have I been doing lately? I just finished a graphic design (which will be scanned in the meantime) this graphic design will be used for my business card and letterhead. I also got backstage coverage at an event in San Diego "ICONs" Fashion (Featuring designer Jose Maria), Music, & Lifestyle Expo a spin-off celebration to Comic Con 2010.

Jean Paul Gaultier F/W 2010 Haute Couture (Collections)

Burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese made her debut on Gaultier's runway, strutting in a floor-length black semi-shear gown with added curves such as shoulders and hips. Shoulder pads were everywhere; added to trenches and couture gowns. Gathered head-dresses, and hair skyrocketed into the air. Models with cigarette holders at hand. The collection; dominant, elegant, and poised. Blacks, leather browns and nude beige, furs in gradient white and gray, yellows-greens, and velvet royal blues. And a touch of lavender. Gaultier finishes the collection with a hybrid wedding gown, violin at hand. View the complete collection, here.

Just in: Fashion Director Hilary Alexander exclusive backstage video & interview from telegraph.co.uk/tv.

Christian Dior F/W Haute Couture (Collections)

A delightful twist to the somber color-palette of winter. Galliano gives fall a much needed explosion of COLOR and decadence. The inspiration was clear in this collection "Florals!", also stemmed from the 1959 S/S "Tulip" Collection. Yards and yards of tulle and multi-hued fabrics feathered, ruched, and ruffled!

Since I am so devout to Galliano, I decided to sketch three different looks from this collection!
