The debut of Thierry Mugler's menwear fall 2011/12 collection under the creative direction of Nicola Formichetti, is definitely a brave one.
Menswear collections next fall are falling under the same militant trend, strict tailored menswear silhouettes in traditional fabrics, suggestive authority figures, power-dressing. In this collection, we see an obvious inspiration from the darker side of things, there is a certain S&M quality to the fabrics.
Apoplectic models inked to the death.
Perhaps these are signs of economic collapse, or maybe a total world apocalypse. Whatever it is, we "may" be able to look forward to more incredibly haunting collections.
