Versace Pre-Fall 2011 - Collections

Versace, in this pre-fall collection, hits several notes, so does model Kasia Struss.

In my opinion the collection seems to be coming from several different points of view (meaning several different design aesthetics), you have fall colors such as red, navy and black, but the patterns suggest more of a spring feel with animal print, and metallic fabrics. Some of the silhouettes are daring and sexy, while still maintaining conservativeness.

A outre combination of sex, power & high-style, what can be better than that?

Here are my favorite looks:

Lanvin Pre-Fall 2011 - Collections

A dream state reality? Elbaz has taken a step back from over pronounced fashions from last season, and delights women who wear evening at day. Luxurious furs, flowing silks, sharp tailoring and Elbaz's signature mini-dress silhouette are to be expected next time the cold Fall & Winter months come along.

My favorite looks:

Givenchy S/S 2011 - Collection

One word: bliss. For Givenchy Spring Summer 2011 by Riccardo Tisci. Here are my most sought after looks, and I am starting to see a new spring trend: Minimalistic approach to menswear tailoring.

Gareth Pugh S/S 2011 - Collections

Rigid, masculine & clean; elements you would expect from Pugh, although this spring collection has a softer more liquid feel. Watch the 11 minute fashion film from showstudio, stunning stunning stunning. I adore the looks, and would kill for some of the men's looks.

My favorite looks in the collection: I love his clutch, androgyny please?!

Christian Dior F/W Haute Couture (Collections)

A delightful twist to the somber color-palette of winter. Galliano gives fall a much needed explosion of COLOR and decadence. The inspiration was clear in this collection "Florals!", also stemmed from the 1959 S/S "Tulip" Collection. Yards and yards of tulle and multi-hued fabrics feathered, ruched, and ruffled!

Since I am so devout to Galliano, I decided to sketch three different looks from this collection!

Resort 2011 (Collections)

Christian Dior Resort 2011: View the complete collection, here.

The ultra-feminine "Sixties Chic" collection consisted of a pastel color-palette, lavender, blush-pinks, pale orange and pale-blue. Galliano loves to play with gender, masculine silhouettes were introduced in the beginning of the collection, light grays, white, and black. Galliano romance was seen throughout the collection, soft ruffles, lace, organza, and grand embroidered couture gowns.

Jason Wu Resort 2011: View the complete collection, here.

A Parisian inspired collection, menswear short-suits, trousers, jabots, and coats. Plenty of Cocktail dresses with tailored coats, and floor-length gowns with daffodil print.

Alexander Wang Resort 2011: View the complete collection, here.

The classic Alex Wang silhouette is definitely incorporated, slouchy boyish knitwear fit the models in a tailored fashion. Sea-Foam greens, burnt-red, nuetrals, white, and black were Wang's color palette for his Resort 2011. A ton of ready-to-wear pieces that retailers will want to get their hands on!

Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2011: View the complete collection, here.

A beautiful streamlined collection, Rodriguez gives us simple elegant pieces, consisting of menswear fabrics. A predominantly black & white, splashes of blush-pink, and blue were introduced throughout the collection of 15 looks.
